Socks and Scivvies Drive

Open Opportunity

About

We need your help to collect some essential items for our homeless and economically disadvantaged population. Between now and January 18, we need dedicated volunteers to conduct a drive for socks and underwear (scivvies!) in all sizes for both males and females. You can conduct the drive in whatever manner you choose: ask your friends to bring you the items, ask friends to donate money so you can purchase the items, place a box in a local shop or church and ask people to drop off donations, or some other way we have not thought of!

Then, on January 18, bring your donations to one of two locations in Tupelo between 10:00 and 2:00:
(1) All Saints' Episcopal Church - 608 W. Jefferson St.
OR
(2) Midtown Pointe Food Court - 499 S. Gloster St.

We are asking for new, still-in-the-package donations. The majority of intended recipients will be adults, but children's sizes are welcome as well. If you would like a flyer or digital graphic to help you publicize, please email me at rebecca@unitedwaynems.org.

Thank you for your help!
