About

The Longest Table is a free university gathering on Sunday, October 2 (Check-in and food service opening at 4:30 pm, Welcome and Dialogue beginning at 5:00 pm), bringing together students, faculty, staff, and community members for a shared meal in The Circle, in front of The Lyceum. The Longest Table will allow us to have a community-building conversation while also reflecting on the mission and legacy of James Meredith. We are excited to increase understanding among people of diverse backgrounds and create a powerful visual where everyone has a place at the table.
