Union County Heritage Museum

About

Union County Heritage Museum is a 501C3 Heritage Museum and Community Event venue.  We are located at 114 Cleveland Street in New Albany, MS 38652.  We have three city blocks,  that includes the 11,000 square foot museum, the William Faulkner Literary Garden, Frenchman's Bend Outdoor exhibit area, the Museum Art House and pottery studio, the William Faulkner birth site and the Crossing on the Green Railroad Park. We will be celebrating our 30th anniversary in 2021.

Due to COVID, we have had to close twice and our event programming has been impacted severely.  Ordinarily we have multiple exhibits, regular events such as the monthly lecture series - Museum Moments-, children's programming, Heritage Pioneer Days, Fossil Road Show, Ingomar Mound Days and more. We have a Lifelong Learning program for the age 55 and above which this year will feature pottery classes, mosaic classes and a series of classes on textiles.

We are looking forward to a better 2021. We are in need of help with a backlog of cataloging and collection organization.  We have need for a landscape designer, exhibit designer and help getting the Faulkner Birth-site Writer's Inn up and running.

You can find us at www.ucheritagemuseum.com and we have a Facebook page Union County Heritage Museum and we are on Instagram.  Find us on Facebook and like us.  We currently have a new website under construction. Please contact us if you have questions!
